I got a 6.5 miler in this morning! Almost anyway, lol. I could have easily done 7 or more, but I need to work on some school stuff before work!
I tried to keep my pace around 9:00 min/mile, but went a bit fast…mile 3 was a little slower cause I stopped to pee. No shame. Otherwise, pretty equal splits. I want to work on getting negative splits for 5k’s. I feel like I go out a little too fast, my second mile is alright, and am giving all my energy the last .5 miles. It shouldn’t be too hard to do.
I found a pair of light weight trainers I might want to use as racing flats. 2 pairs actually. The Adidas Tempo 5 and the Mizuno Musha 4. Yesterday I wore the Adidas around at work, but we don’t carry the Musha…hmm. It will definitely be an investment for later in the month when I start doing more fall races!
